This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled drm/mipi-dsi: Detach devices when removing the host to the 6.0-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: drm-mipi-dsi-detach-devices-when-removing-the-host.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.0 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 119c5afc9ce12d6e444ed8a3d3ea57a745e502e9 Author: Maxime Ripard <maxime@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Jul 11 19:38:31 2022 +0200 drm/mipi-dsi: Detach devices when removing the host [ Upstream commit 668a8f17b5290d04ef7343636a5588a0692731a1 ] Whenever the MIPI-DSI host is unregistered, the code of mipi_dsi_host_unregister() loops over every device currently found on that bus and will unregister it. However, it doesn't detach it from the bus first, which leads to all kind of resource leaks if the host wants to perform some clean up whenever a device is detached.
