This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled mtd: dataflash: Add SPI ID table to the 5.18-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mtd-dataflash-add-spi-id-table.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.18 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit d740c9c731a99a6b977b194dfe50312c0d71051e Author: Mark Brown <broonie@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Jun 20 16:23:13 2022 +0100 mtd: dataflash: Add SPI ID table [ Upstream commit ac4f83482afbfd927d0fe118151b747cf175e724 ] Currently autoloading for SPI devices does not use the DT ID table, it uses SPI modalises. Supporting OF modalises is going to be difficult if not impractical, an attempt was made but has been reverted, so ensure that module autoloading works for this driver by adding an id_table listing the SPI IDs for everything.
