This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ceph: fix inode reference leakage in ceph_get_snapdir() to the 5.16-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: ceph-fix-inode-reference-leakage-in-ceph_get_snapdir.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.16 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 8c13a92717c7e56e46215f57fad32cea11390724 Author: Xiubo Li <xiubli@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Mar 2 14:51:53 2022 +0800 ceph: fix inode reference leakage in ceph_get_snapdir() [ Upstream commit 322794d3355c33adcc4feace0045d85a8e4ed813 ] The ceph_get_inode() will search for or insert a new inode into the hash for the given vino, and return a reference to it. If new is non-NULL, its reference is consumed. We should release the reference when in error handing cases.
