This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ARM: dts: meson8b: Fix the UART device-tree schema validation to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: arm-dts-meson8b-fix-the-uart-device-tree-schema-vali.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit dba5341dcfdd49d3e3397e7c2100a79b22604416 Author: Martin Blumenstingl <martin.blumenstingl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Dec 27 19:00:26 2021 +0100 ARM: dts: meson8b: Fix the UART device-tree schema validation [ Upstream commit 3375aa77135f6aeb1107ed839a2050a4118444bc ] The dt-bindings for the UART controller only allow the following values for Meson8 SoCs: - "amlogic,meson8b-uart", "amlogic,meson-ao-uart" - "amlogic,meson8b-uart" Use the correct fallback compatible string "amlogic,meson-ao-uart" for AO UART. Drop the "amlogic,meson-uart" compatible string from the EE domain UART controllers. Also update the order of the clocks to match the order defined in the yaml bindings.
