If I hadn't taken this specific patch, I would have just reverted it
myself and taken that revert.  I was trying to be nice and take the one
that someone else already did and give them the credit for finding and
fixing this issue :)

So for a revert like this, the normal AUTOSEL stuff doesn't matter that
much.
