This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled irqchip/realtek-rtl: Map control data to virq to the 5.16-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: irqchip-realtek-rtl-map-control-data-to-virq.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.16 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit c6a6836ebd63a1bd4ef588d242d2fa44c25853f7 Author: Sander Vanheule <sander@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun Jan 9 15:54:32 2022 +0100 irqchip/realtek-rtl: Map control data to virq [ Upstream commit 291e79c7e2eb6fdc016453597b78482e06199d0f ] The driver assigned the irqchip and irq handler to the hardware irq, instead of the virq. This is incorrect, and only worked because these irq numbers happened to be the same on the devices used for testing the original driver.
