This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled dmaengine: at_xdmac: Start transfer for cyclic channels in issue_pending to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: dmaengine-at_xdmac-start-transfer-for-cyclic-channels-in-issue_pending.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From e6af9b05bec63cd4d1de2a33968cd0be2a91282a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tudor Ambarus <tudor.ambarus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 15 Dec 2021 13:01:05 +0200 Subject: dmaengine: at_xdmac: Start transfer for cyclic channels in issue_pending From: Tudor Ambarus <tudor.ambarus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> commit e6af9b05bec63cd4d1de2a33968cd0be2a91282a upstream. Cyclic channels must too call issue_pending in order to start a transfer. Start the transfer in issue_pending regardless of the type of channel. This wrongly worked before, because in the past the transfer was started at tx_submit level when only a desc in the transfer list.
