This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled mfd: cpcap: Add SPI device ID table to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mfd-cpcap-add-spi-device-id-table.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 6bacd862c9523e3511103da1108ee78cd0d59e79 Author: Mark Brown <broonie@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Sep 24 15:33:46 2021 +0100 mfd: cpcap: Add SPI device ID table [ Upstream commit d5fa8592b773f4da2b04e7333cd37efec5e4ca43 ] Currently autoloading for SPI devices does not use the DT ID table, it uses SPI modalises. Supporting OF modalises is going to be difficult if not impractical, an attempt was made but has been reverted, so ensure that module autoloading works for this driver by adding a SPI device ID table.
