This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled rtc: ds1302: Add SPI ID table to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: rtc-ds1302-add-spi-id-table.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 046ee778153944d7d5eb8a3af08944d4e334e3d4 Author: Mark Brown <broonie@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Sep 23 20:49:20 2021 +0100 rtc: ds1302: Add SPI ID table [ Upstream commit 8719a17613e0233d707eb22e1645d217594631ef ] Currently autoloading for SPI devices does not use the DT ID table, it uses SPI modalises. Supporting OF modalises is going to be difficult if not impractical, an attempt was made but has been reverted, so ensure that module autoloading works for this driver by adding an id_table listing the SPI IDs for everything.
