This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled arm64: dts: qcom: trogdor: Add no-hpd to DSI bridge node to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: arm64-dts-qcom-trogdor-add-no-hpd-to-dsi-bridge-node.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 5aef20f5ab942581d496ebb5ece497bbdf18134d Author: Stephen Boyd <swboyd@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Mar 23 19:55:34 2021 -0700 arm64: dts: qcom: trogdor: Add no-hpd to DSI bridge node [ Upstream commit 5f551b5ce55575b14c26933fe9b49365ea246b3d ] We should indicate that we're not using the HPD pin on this device, per the binding document. Otherwise if code in the future wants to enable HPD in the bridge when this property is absent we'll be wasting power powering hpd when we don't use it on trogdor boards. We didn't notice this before because the kernel driver blindly disables hpd, but that won't be true for much longer.
