This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled pwm: imx1: Don't disable clocks at device remove time to the 5.13-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: pwm-imx1-don-t-disable-clocks-at-device-remove-time.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.13 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 00ae820d9ec7b45ffb4eef169d48edcdc4235f93 Author: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue May 25 08:35:27 2021 +0200 pwm: imx1: Don't disable clocks at device remove time [ Upstream commit 1bc6ea31cb41d50302a3c9b401964cf0a88d41f9 ] The .remove() callback disables clocks that were not enabled in .probe(). So just probing and then unbinding the driver results in a clk enable imbalance. So just drop the call to disable the clocks. (Which BTW was also in the wrong order because the call makes the PWM unfunctional and so should have come only after pwmchip_remove()).
