ssh max buffer size

I am using OpenSSH 5.1p1 with the HPN 13v5 patch file on FreeBSD 5.3.

We are running tests over the ssh tunnel with a 1 second RTT. It seems as though the buffers are capped at 80K. Is that settable in the code somewhere, is it a configuration parameter? 80K of data goes over the tunnel, and then waits 1 second for the ACK, before sending any more data. The window sizes are set very large, as are the various sysctls. I can't seem to find an obvious reference to this in the code?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Debbie Charan
