I haven't used Gmail for a year or so, but its threading algorithms used to group messages with the *same subject* with in a given period of time. I found this both a nuisance and wrong; I would much rather see messages threaded the conventional way, based on a message's "References" header line. However, there is one change I would like to see in the way Squirrelmail handles threads:threads should be sorted in the index window based on the date of the most recent message rather than the original. The problem with the latter is that threads which are more than a few days ago can be listed very far down in the index window, making it very easy to overlook a new message. Thunderbird exhibited this behaviour previously as well, but it was fixed around beta 2 or 3 of the current release, and most welcomely so. -Colin ----- Colin Brace Amsterdam http://lim.nl -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/thread-view-tp27636848p27691511.html Sent from the squirrelmail-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
