Reduce your error_reporting level in php.ini. ereg is not removed from your
PHP version and I think it will be removed only in PHP6. Removal of ereg is
not main SquirrelMail problem in PHP6.

Turn on smtp authentication in SquirrelMail configuration or allow
unauthenticated relay from local address in hMailServer configuration.
