linking existing Maildirs in as folders

Given all these Maildirs,
$ tree -L 1 -da Mai*
Mail
|-- almost-certainly-spam
|-- backup
|-- big-possible-spam
`-- probably-spam
Maildir
|-- .Drafts
|-- .Sent
|-- .Trash
|-- courierimapkeywords
|-- cur
|-- new
`-- tmp
How can I have the Maildirs in the "Mail" directory appear as folders
inside squirrelmail too? Make certain symlinks? First create folders
from inside squirrelmail, then replace them with certain links? Make a
special index file that refers to ../Mail/probably-spam etc.? (aliased
to .dotfiles so e.g., getmail doesn't download them?) I have a cronjob
that deletes anything old in those spam Maildirs, must I make it aware
of certain control files not to delete?
