SmarterMail looks to be a Windows-based mail server. SquirrelMail is not a mail server - it is ONLY the webmail client part of the equation. The best place to ask this question is probably to SmarterTools themselves, and the question should be more about if/how you can migrate your mail store from SmarterMail to a *nix system -- which system that is also matters: if you are running Cyrus on your new servers, for example, that needs to be part of the question. In general, migrating mail stores from a Windows environment to a *nix one will probably be difficult in one way or another, no matter the software involved. If it's acceptable to get your users involved and you can have both systems running at the same time (and SmarterMail supports IMAP), you can have the users do the migration themselves by setting up their desktop IMAP clients (not a webmail client!) to access BOTH servers, and just drag and drop their mail from one IMAP server to the other. Good luck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- squirrelmail-users mailing list Posting guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines List address: squirrelmail-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx List archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user List info (subscribe/unsubscribe/change options): https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
