Don't activate this plugin.  It is ONLY a patch.

Then this is not a SquirrelMail issue.  You need to go figure out why
your IMAP server is either not running or is not listening on port
143.
Thank you Paul. Yes, you are right. It was to do with my MailServer being down. Should have checked it. Thank you once again for your time
