Hello,

my Squirrelmail worked fine with Suse Linux 9.3. PHP 4, Imap, Postfix
and Appache. After an online update of Suse Linux 9.3 with upgrade
from PHP 4 to PHP 5 I got the following errors:

1. Squirrelmail configtest said:
SquirrelMail version:	1.4.10a
Config file version:	1.4.0
Config file last modified:	18 June 2008 09:52:24
Checking PHP configuration...
    PHP version 5.2.5 OK.
    PHP extensions OK.
Checking paths...

ERROR: Data dir (/var/spool/squirrelmail/data/) does not exist!

but /var/spool/squirrelmail/data exists!!!

2. After login of the Squirrelmail web site I get the errors:
FEHLER
Fehler beim Öffnen von ../data/default_pref
Konnte initiale Einstellungsdatei nicht erstellen!
/var/spool/squirrelmail/data/ sollte vom Benutzer httpd beschreibbar sein
Kontaktieren Sie Ihren Administrator, um Hilfe zu erhalten.

or in english:
error in opening ../data/default_pref
/var/spool/squirrelmail/data/ should be writeable from user httpd

but it is.

I have Suse Linux 9.3 upgraded to Open Suse 10.3 but the errors are
the same.

Can you help me?

Yours sincerely
