Is there a way to disable Squirrelmail's automatic purge of the users' deleted messages?

Hi List,

All the IMAP users of my deployment, who have deleted messages in their
inbox, are experiencing the following behavior when using squirrelmail-
their deleted inbox messages are purged (permanently) every time they use
Squirrel-mail.
The problem with this is that users like to keep their messages deleted in
the inbox for future reference (like in Gmail), and purging their e-mails is
something we would like to avoid.

Is there any way to disable this feature?
Thanks,

Daniel Finchelstein
