"LOCALE_VERSION".  What makes you think that is the version of your
SquirrelMail installation?

That's why you need to tell your users who use public terminals to
always log out - this is standard expected behavior for anyone using
ANY online service at a public terminal.  This is completely unrelated
to the embedded login concept, which you seem to have working
correctly.
