However, I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest that you upgrade your SquirrelMail installation to 1.4.13 and reconfigure it from scratch. 1.4.2 was released 2003-10-01, which is more than four years ago, and contains known security holes that can be exploited. Who knows, maybe upgrading will solve your problem as well?
