The attachment problem in 1.4.11 is a known bug (see:
<http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/KnownBugs>). It's been the subject of some
bug reports as well as some threads at the mailing lists (see:
<http://google.com/custom?q=squirrelmail+1.4.11+attachment>). It should be
remedied in 1.4.12.
