Thanks for the quick reply. I ran the squirrelmail configure script again and saw that "Allow server thread sort" and "Allow server-side sorting" were set to "false". I set them to "true" and now it works fine! I had already made the change in php.ini: post_max_size = 20M while running 1.4.6.
