This message shows up when a google search of 'Palaxar' is done. Is there
anyway to remove this message from the forum so that google can not post it?

Thanks,

Subject: Reading the log files to discover why emails are
beingdelayed

I am trying to solve a problem for several users who are reporting lost
emails and severely delayed emails. I have been able to recreate this
problem. I sent an email to 6 addresses and they were not received. I sent
the email again and it was received just fine. The next day the original
email was received. I am try to read the log files to attempt to decipher
what is going on. I am unable to find a thread that deals with translating
log files. If you know of one could you send it to me?

If not here is a typical line from my mail log file with questions in CAPS.

Oct 19 14:13:29        SERVER'S DATE AND TIME OR CLIENT'S?
mail sendmail[32735]: WHAT DOES THIS NUMBER REPRESENT?
k9JIACnm032734: WHAT DOES THIS NUMBER REPRESENT?
to=<scott.hannah@xxxxxxxxxxx>,  NO PROBLEM HERE
ctladdr=<john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>  NO PROBLEM HERE
(501/501), WHAT DOES THIS NUMBER REPRESENT?
delay=00:03:17, EMAIL WAS DELAYED 3 MINUTES 17 SECONDS BEFORE BEING
SENT?
xdelay=00:03:16, WHAT DOES THIS DELAY REPRESENT?
mailer=local, LOCAL MAIL SERVER WAS USED TO SEND THIS EMAIL?
pri=31534, WHAT DOES THIS NUMBER REPRESENT? PRI?
dsn=2.0.0, THIS LOOKS LIKE A VERSION NUMBER OF SOME SORT
stat=Sent               NO PROBLEM HERE

Thank you,
John Glynn
