problem with IE6, SSL & SquirrelMail 1.4.9a

Folks -

We're having a problem when we send messages using IE6. When clicking
"Send" after composing a message, we get a DNS error (Page Cannot Be
Displayed). The version of IE 6 is:
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519
This happens when using SSL connections, but not when using non-SSL (https
vs. http) and only showed up after we upgraded from SM 1.2 to SM 1.4.9a (new
server hardware/OS as well).
Upgrading to IE7 is not an option. Anybody have other ideas or seen similar
problems?
