No. On OS X the standard location for the Attachment directory is: /private/var/db/squirrelmail/attachments/ and the Data Directory is: /private/var/db/squirrelmail/data/ There is a symlink from /etc/squirrelmail/config to /usr/share/ squirrelmail/config All files/directories in the main SM tree are owned by root:wheel The data and attachements folder are owned by www:www which is the identity that Apache runs under.
