You can get plugin with

cvs
-d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/sm-plugins
export -r HEAD plugins/custom_link

command. Or download individual plugin files from webcvs interface and
save them in SquirrelMail plugins/custom_link directory. Or read plugin
development documentation
(http://www.squirrelmail.org/docs/devel/devel-4.html) and check menuline
hook options.
