Login successful but, logsout immediately

I have successfully installed squirrelmail version 1.5.1 alongwith courier-imap-4.1.1, courier-authlib-0.58, php-5.1.6 on SuSE 10.1 with 2.6.18.

I have configured postfix-2.3 to use TLS/SSL and have been able to telnet and authenticate successfully.

When I use the squirrelmail web interface to login, from the logs I can see that login has been successful only to be logged out immediately. Squirrelmail web interface displays "You must be logged in to access this page.  Go To The Login Page" !!

Here's the log output:

Why would it logout immediately ? What am I missing here ? I have gone several HOWTOs on setting up (web) mail servers and have followed all the necessary steps. I have tried using dovecot for imap and authentication and have been suceessfull logging in but dovecot backfires saying 'permission denied' while writing to the user's maildir.

Is there a way, I can see what is going on in the background. I have already set the DEBUG_Login variable to '2' and that is how I could get the above log messages. Other than, is there way to force squirrel mail to log the debug messages ? Does squirrelmail have a log ?

I woud appreciate any responses in this regard as I'm very close to getting successful !!

Thanks.
