Hello: I am having some trouble getting Squirrelmail to use the correct tcp for imap. I have had Squirrelmail setup for a while now, and just recently changed ISP’s. When I changed my dovecot and Squirrelmail configs to reflect the IP schema, it started try to access the imap server through the pop3 port. When anyone tries to login to Squirrelmail, their username and password is accepted but then give a message like this, Error connecting to IMAP server: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.110 : Connection timed out Go to login page. I have checked dovecot’s config files, they were all correct; checked to see if iptables was running or if any rules were blocking it, there weren’t; checked my pix, an I can get to the imap port from outside my pix. IMAP Server is Dovecot 0.99.13.3.fc3 PHP is 4.3.11.2.8 Web server is Apache 2.0.53.3.2 I am running Fedora Core 3 w/ a 2.6.9 kernel I installed Squirrelmail and Dovecot w/ yum HYPERLINK "http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/SquirrelMail"; Squirrelmail version 1.4.6.0.cvs20050812.1.fc3 I am not using any plugins Any notes that might make your install different, even if minor (like you have rewrite rules) If anyone needs any more info, please let me know ASAP Respectfully, Jeremy Leleux IT Operations Manager LA Civil & Criminal Information Network (LACCIE) NorMat Network Solutions, Inc.
