Fully Automating the Squid-Cache RPMs build and Squid-Nuggets beginning

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey Everyone,

For quite some time I have been working on couple tools for squid-cache
build automation.
The corner stone for all of this is at:
https://github.com/elico/squid-latest

which is a repository that hosts the latest version of stable squid URL in
the json file:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/elico/squid-latest/refs/heads/main/latest.
json

With this in place it's pretty easy to check periodically if there is a
newer version of Squid-Cache and then build and deploy the RPMs for the
different Distributions.
I have also found the right workaround for the EL9 branch build so the
latest version 6.12 is available for all EL8 and EL8 distributions now.

The automation will free some of my time for creating videos about
Squid-Cache series which I wanted to create for some time now.
I am not a professional at webinar creation but I hope that my videos will
give something that is not there already.
The first video in the series "Squid-Nuggets" is here at:

Squid for Web Access Control - Part 1

I am looking for a partner that will help me in couple aspects of this
series.
This work is meant for these who want to volunteer a little bit with the
hope to gain some knowledge.

Please feel free to contact me for any question.
