Hello,

We have customer who communicates using NTRIP protocol through proxy.

I have noticed that the client connects using GET protocol, while server
responds with ICY respone, which indicated the icecast protocol that should
be supported by SQUID since version 3.1
http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v3/3.1/RELEASENOTES.html#ss2.11

Customer reports that this does not work. While it is apparently not problem
of squid, I still would like to ask

- does anyone have experience with using squid for NTRIP communication?

Not NTRIP specifically. The documentation for it specifies that it "uses HTTP/1.1", so should work for Squid.

If you can obtain a "debug_options 11,2" trace of the messages going through it may help track down what specifically is not working.

On the ICY topic, it was definitely working as of v3.4. The client I had using ICY no longer does. So I would not be surprised if something got broken more recently without being noticed.

Cheers
Amos
