Hey Rob, First there is a difference between rotation and deletion. If it’s not a loaded system then 3 month is ok but… in most use cases it’s better to rotate every day but to delete after 3 month. You have the choice to compress the files or to leave them in plain text but it’s only a choice of resources preservation. Let me see, I will look at my CentOS 7 system and will try to find the right way to do it.
