Hey Carl, I didn’t even tried to push it into squid code since it’s a very simple patch. The process of applying patches to the project compared to basic sense and testing is too much for me now. I supplied the patch since squid is unusable without it in many environments. Thank you Eliezer. I will test it today and let you know. Just one question: Is this patch included in the next version of squid? That would be really interesting. Hey Carl, The next SRPM: https://www.ngtech.co.il/repo/centos/7/SRPMS/squid-4.17-8.el7.src.rpm Should work on ARM based systems as well. This however is not guaranteed since I do not have any option to verify this. Once you will rebuild this let me know if it works for you. Please pay attention that this version is patched with a series of 3 patches which allow intercepted CONNECT/SSL connections to have different IP then the one which the squid DNS will respond with.
This patch is unique and can be disabled with a squid.conf directive. This specific version is running in production for the last month or a bit more and seems to be doing the job for my use case. All The Bests, Eliezer ---- Eliezer Croitoru NgTech, Tech Support Mobile: +972-5-28704261 Email: ngtech1ltd@xxxxxxxxx Thank you for your reply. Yes you can publish the SRPM. I can build it. I have an ARM based machine that is ready. Please let me know when it will be published. Hey Carl, I do not have an ARM based machine so I cannot build for it. However it might be possible to build for ARM in the build services of Fedora: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/ or OpenSUSE https://build.opensuse.org/ The other option is to build the RPMs inside a container in your environment. I will try to publish the latest SRPM for CentOS 7 which should work on ARM based systems. Let me know if you can try to build for ARM locally using rpmbuild or a container. Thanks, Eliezer ---- Eliezer Croitoru NgTech, Tech Support Mobile: +972-5-28704261 Email: ngtech1ltd@xxxxxxxxx Hello, I want to install squid rpms on Centos 7 on ARM arch. Are there any packages for this?
