I've had to restart this process now (but I'm sure the problem will be back next week). I did use netstat on it though, and the number of established TCP connections was 1090 - that is obviously made up of client->proxy, proxy->origin and proxy->icap connections - my gut feeling was that it wasn't enough connections to account for 200-odd MB of Comm::Connection objects.
