The default ephemeral port management on Linux (and probably other OSes) does not satisfy the needs of some busy proxies. Moreover, we have implemented an explicit source port manager algorithm in Web Polygraph, for similar high-performance reasons, so we know how to do it and that it actually works/helps. https://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/AboutSquid#How_to_add_a_new_Squid_feature.2C_enhance.2C_of_fix_something.3F Alex. _______________________________________________ squid-users mailing list squid-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.squid-cache.org/listinfo/squid-users
