I will try to build a binary package for 12.04 and 14.04 of 3.5.23. And as a comment I must admit that in 16.04 the kernel had couple hiccups inside a VM and I had to manually update the kernel into 4.6 branch to find out that the vanilla one was much stable then the Distro one(on Physical it worked well).
