For example; * squid -k shutdown * squid -k restart * kill -SIGTERM ... * squidclient mgr:shutdown * squidclient mgr:restart * cachemgr.cgi shutdown or restart request The usual cause is an init script using -k shutdown or restart signals where they actually only need reconfigure. Far less common, but also possible is incorrect http_access permissinos letting external visitors get to the manager control panel and somebody playing with the shutdown "report" ability. - this might be because of old manager ACL definition from Squid-2 still being used. Squid-3.5 has a new definition. HTH Amos _______________________________________________ squid-users mailing list squid-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.squid-cache.org/listinfo/squid-users
