Simply echoing back the same line Squid sent in has not been part of the helper protocol since Squid-1.x !! - Squid-2.x would silently truncate the lines. - Squid-3.x would log a warning about the helper needing an update or future releases will have broken URLs. - Squid-3.4+ do what earlier Squid-3 warned about.
