That so version number is used by libecap 1.0.x. Since you built it yourself please ensure you built the right libecap version. And installed in properly in the right place. And built Sqiud with correct paths to locate it by. FYI for anyone using Debian; squid 3.5.6 and libecap 1.0.1 are now available in the Sid/unstable repositories.
