Awaiting somebody to confirm that it actually works before a production release behaviour gets changed in such a deep way. The problem is that the patch requires design changes made in 3.5 series, and the people so far replicating the bug only used 3.4. If you are replicating the bug in 3.5 and can confirm the patch works it will be in the next release.
