Is this a known issue with squid? What else is going on? for example, how much was delivered to the client? is the object cacheable? is the transaction being adapted? If the object cannot be cached, and the client (or ICAP/eCAP adapters) stops receiving there is nothing Squid can do but wait. If the server times out first while it and Squid are both waiting there is nothing Squid can do.
