ext_user_regex seems to match not like a regex, but like a string, i.e. ext_user_regex seems to be really ext_user.

For people having similar problems, I have a patch (relative to 3.4.3) for the ext_user_regex bug, and the python script that I am using to interface squid with the IP/auth cache (requires redis).
