Hey,

reetings, I'd like to ask your support on solving why squid keeps
denying me even with the correct username and password. In the logs

http://www.google.com/ - NONE/- text/html

I have these specific lines in my configuration:

auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/ncsa_auth /etc/squid/passwords
auth_param basic realm proxy
auth_param basic children 5
auth_param basic credentialsttl 2 hours
auth_param basic casesensitive off
acl authenticated proxy_auth REQUIRED
http_access allow authenticated

I don't know if I have missed something, I hope you guys could help. Thank you!

Try to run the helper in command line and enter the user and password.
Also try to change the password in the file and reload squid.

it's very weird that squid will not agree to read your password.
What browser are you using?
