Try: wget 'ftp://gee.cs.oswego.edu/pub/misc/malloc-2.8.4.h;type=i'
and see what you get.
Thanks, it work properly. It is possible to switch binary mode on by
default?
No, because wget is always in binary mode - it doesn't do anything else.
What you've changed with the above URL is what you told the remote server to
send you.
That can only be "fixed" on the remote server :)
Antony.
I mean "switch" in squid configuration to switch between ";type=i" and
"normal" link, or make default behavior like ";type=i", but without
";type=i" :)
Critical applications will make sure that the file will be verified with
a hash or another way of making sure that the file will be the original one.
if you have bunch of files that you want to download just ask the
publisher to put a hash list of the files on the server or another
server to allow you that.
I already have a list of files with hashes and original sizes, but them
useless in this situation.
