Thanks - I've been digging into the code, but I have not quite figured
it out yet.

This is part of my effort to get caching of windows updates working.
I've followed the rules on the wiki in this regard, but it seems like
these unmatched lengths are preventing the caching.

A tcpdump of the corresponding connections shows that squid is closing
the connection to the server before the download is finished.  I'll
continue looking.
