There are many sites who do that same trick and you might be using them. if you are using firefox the first thing to do is try start firefox in safe-mode. after you try this try to launch it with firebug to make sure what object is the problem. it might be a JS thing or another issue not related to squid that you are indeed imagining or do not have the right angle on the problem. >From my point of view squid 3.3.5 and 3.HEAD are fine.. I also used 3.3.7 with ssl_crtd which works fine with bumping and other stuff and it seems to me like the source of the problem is one of couple but could be other: 1. browser or addons. 2. network 3. kernel In gentoo many things are possible in the kernel level if you are updating all the time but it's weird to think in this direction since most of them are stable. network is easy to check using wget curl firebug and other basic tools. the same thing about browser.. chrome and firefox has nice tools that allows you to understand the source of the problem without getting tcpdump output.
