Hi Eliezer, Thanks for you reply, I understand, but currently I am still using squid 2.7. it is good enough for me, now I am still trying to find out whether I can change the name in the syslog like below Jan 21 08:09:10 192.168.0.1 *squid[12345]*: log message I just want hide the "squid[12345]" anyone know it ? thanks.
