Hi I add the below config to squid.conf max_filedescriptors 8192 and i run the "/usr/local/squid/bin/squidclient mgr:info | grep 'file descri'", and it show the correct value that i want for the max_filedescriptors. Is it a must to reconfigure again the squid ? http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/squid-proxy-server-running-out-filedescriptors/ Cheers Chia Wei Notice The information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged. Used by Squid to open sockets, pipes and files. Since you had enough traffic to force you to need the ephemeral ports range, chances are you need to adjust the FD range available as well. http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/TroubleShooting#Running_out_of_filedescriptors Amos ForwardSourceID:NT0000BCEA
