Dear Amos,

I've installed a new instance of squid 3.0 due to some limitations in
the organizations. I've configured the squid with enable LDAP helper and
filedescriptors as 4096

squid has been installed successfully however am unable to start the
squid service & also the squid_ldap_auth services which normally start
with squid.

Am able to telnet to the LDAP server from the squid server however am
not able to connect using the helper

/usr/local/squid/libexec/squid_ldap_auth -b o=xyz,c=IN -D
cn=Manager,o=xyz,c=IN -w sda5eqebHDbva8732b -h ldap.xyz.com
<http://ldap.xyz.com>

kindly help!

I've never known LDAP. Sorry.

But cc'ing the list was a good choice. Maybe somebody there has an idea how LDAP works?
