    Hi Chad,

but doing that, even temporarily, would break other softwares that are using krb5 libraries at that moment, wont it ?

and even if it wont break anything running, when i restore original versions the binary will be linked to wrong library files (the original ones and it was compiled to the newer ones), wont it ?

You can temporary move the /usr/lib64 versions, and copy the version
from /usr/local to /usr/lib64, just make sure they are linked
correctly.
